Electronic Recycling Event Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 10am -2pm By appointment. Call 222-8440 to set up a time and let them know what you will be recycling. Adams County Health Department 330 Vermont Street Residents Only. They will take televisions, computers, monitors, and printers free of charge. Living Lands and Waters is coming to Quincy! Stop by Kessler Park on the Riverfront to help clean up the Mississippi River! When: Saturday, September 24th at 9:00 am Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get muddy. Living Lands and Waters will provide gloves, trash bags, and life jackets (for working by the shoreline) For more information contact Abby Schlipmann at: And while you're on the river for the river clean-up, bring your household items that you just don't know what to do with! The DEA, in conjunction with the Quincy Police Department, is hosting a National Prescription Drub Take-Back Day. Prescription drugs are dangerous when abused or disposed of improperly. Please drop off any unused prescriptions to a QPD Officer on April 30, 2011 at the Quincy Police Department Sub-Post in the Quincy Mall from 10 am to 2 pm. Click Here for the DEA's website RECYCLE
When: September 18th-October 31st, 2010 Where: Quincy Mall, Quincy Compressor, State Street Bank East, ADM Alliance Nutrition, Knapheide, City Hall, United Way, JWCC, Gardner Denver, and more to be announced. What: Shoes new and used: condition is not a big problem; they will be reconditioned if needed. Acceptable shoes are tennis shoes, boots, sandals, high heels, work shoes, flats, dress shoes, men’s, women’s, children’s. No flip flops or bedroom slippers. How: See Below. Make sure pairs are attached by shoe laces, string, or rubber band. Help us reach our goal of 50,000 pounds! Benefits go to our local United Way Fund Drive.
